Fisheries Climatology
The Fisheries Climatology Task at PFEG is involved in a variety of
areas of research concerned with changes in the ocean environment
and how these changes affect the dynamics of marine resources. These
areas of research include developing methodologies for analyzing
long-term trends and changes in both oceanographic and fisheries
time series; developing new methods for relating changes in the
ocean to changes in marine resource dynamics; developing new methods
of estimating fish population parameters that include oceanographic
parameters; and applying these methods to actual problems.
