| TITLE | The 3rd NOAA Ocean Satellite Data Course was held March 24-26, 2008 with the Cooperative Institute for Oceanographic Satellite Studies (CIOSS) at Oregon State University in Corvallis, Oregon USA. |
| OVERVIEW | Interested in using oceanographic satellite data in your work but don't know where to start? This 3 day course will provide an overview of the types of environmental satellite data available, where and how to access the data, and methods of working with the data, including importing into GIS applications and the use of OPeNDAP. Participants are expected to come to the course with a specific project to work on during the lab component of the course. The course is geared towards NMFS or NOS employees and contractors, but if room is available non-NOAA participants will be accommodated at the instructors' discretion. There is no fee associated with the course, but participants will be responsible for all their travel costs. For further information please contact Cara Wilson. |
