The workshop hotel is the Portola Plaza Hotel - Monterey Bay in downtown Monterey, CA. A block of rooms at the Govt per diem rate of $103 has been reserved at the Portola Plaza Hotel with an arrival date of May 2, 2006. Reservations need to be guaranteed prior to April 3, 2006. The hotel provides high-speed internet access; Self-parking will be an additional cost of $14/day.
The Portola Plaza Hotel is approximately 22 miles south of the meeting location (MBARI) and about 3.5 miles from ERD in Pacific Grove. Participants are encouraged to carpool to MBARI.
